Mission: Close the Gap is a college prep program designed to help students become academically prepared to apply for, get accepted into, and then succeed at the college of their choosing. The program is unique, partly in that we begin college preparation young, as early as seven years of age. Very young students begin by creating their own college vocabulary. By starting young, we can easily help students acquire the large (1,500-2,000 words) vocabulary necessary to do well on the English portions of the SAT. A student with a substantial college-level vocabulary will be regarded by others as educated, will feel confident, and will be hard to psych-out. The program also includes a math prep component, as well as sections on cultural touchstones, logic, and fiscal preparation
