Mission: Clatsop community action, inc. (cca) is an oregon nonprofit corporation whose mission is to assist low-income individuals and families meet housing, energy, food and other basic living needs in the clatsop county area of oregon. Cca manages and operates a regional food bank warehouse in warrenton, oregon, which represents more than half of cca's current annual operating budget of 2. 5 million. The majority of the food received and distributed was contributed to cca through the oregon food bank. Cca derives its revenues primarily through federal, state and local government contracts, in-kind contributions of food, plus private grants, contributions, and service fees.
Programs: Food bank and other assistance - provides low-income individuals and families with food, housing and energy assistance, case management, temporary rental assistance, and help with other basic living needs. The cca regional food bank operates a 10,000 square foot warehouse/distribution center serving agencies in clatsop county which provide emergency food box pantries, hot meal sites, home-delivered meals, weekend feeding programs, and shelters. Housing assistance and emergency housing programs include home tenant based assistance, housing stabilization program, state housing assistance program, emergency assistance grant, elderly rental assistance, and continuum of care. Emergency assistance programs help lower electricity, heating, and cooling costs through low income heat and energy assistance program, oregon energy assistance program, gas assistance program, heat oregon, and woodlot program.
