Mission: Our purpose is to educate the citizens of clark county, protect the homeless pets of clark county from cruelty, and to help reduce the number of unwanted pets in our community by sterilization and adoption.
Programs: The main program is the care of homeless cats and dogs of clark county including food, shelter, vaccinations, spay and neuter services, veterinary services, adoptions to the public, acceptance of unwanted dogs and cats, and the boarding of dogs and cats that are found until their owners claim them or they are adopted. Educational services to the public to prevent animal cruelty are also provided. Four hundred fifty-four dogs and cats were served in 2017.
this program involves the care of homeless cats and dogs brought in by the clark county dog wardens. These animals are given vaccines, veterinary services, microchipping, and boarded until the owners reclaim them or they are adopted. One hunddred thirty-seven dogs and cats were served in 2017.
the microchipping program involves placing microchips in homeless dogs and cats at the shelter and those presented from the public. All dogs and cats at the shelter (454) and 32 outside dogs and cats were served in 2017.
