Mission: At CircumSTANCE, our goal is to advocate, promote awareness, self confidence, and a community for those affected by MIS-C, PIMS, and Invisible or Chronic Illness. The COVID Pandemic has affected our pediatric population greatly - we will continue to help this population with both the physical and mental health issues that continue to arise. CircumSTANCE has undoubtedly saved children’s lives by creating a public platform to share critical up to date medical information about MIS-C. CircumSTANCE elevated the voices of real life people by creating a platform for parents to share true life stories of their child’s battle with MIS-C. CircumSTANCE was advocating and sounding the alert about MIS-C far before the media was alerting the public of the dangers and symptoms of MIS-C. There is no doubt that CircumSTANCE’s early recognition on the importance of getting MIS-C out in the public forum further prevented the same heartache and loss for other families. CircumSTANCE kept me informed about the symptoms of MIS-C which helped me know what to do should my grandchildren become ill. Knowledge is power !!
