Causes: Crime & Law, Half-Way House (Short-Term Residential Care), Half-Way Houses for Offenders & Ex-Offenders, Human Services
Mission: In the manner taught to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, Catholic New Creation, Inc. holistically transforms returning offenders into individuals who are responsible, altruistic and law abiding community leaders. This is accomplished by providing long-term mentoring, educational assistance, financial support, housing, employment facilitation, spiritual counseling, substance abuse classes, and lifelong emotional support. We not only improve the lives of the transitioning offender, but enhance the general welfare, safety and development of the neighborhoods in which we reside.
Programs: Program services include long-term mentoring, educational assistance, financial support, housing, employment facilitation and spiritual counseling for 45 ex-inmates in the 2016-2017 fiscal year. During the period from july 1, 2007 through june 30, 2017, we have served over 512 men. Over the last 10 years, 248 residents have stayed in our program 90 days or longer. Of these residents, only 15 lost their parole and returned to prison. Out of the current 20 residents, 15 are employed.
