Mission: Upper darby community outreach corporation (udcoc) is a faith-based, non- profit organization committed to serving the residents of eastern delaware county and west philadelphia. We strive to provide programs and services that enhance education, increase healthcare access, improve life skills, and promote an understanding that embraces diversity and unifies neighborhoods.
Programs: The summer day camp is an educational and engaging camp for young people ages 5 - 14. The camp runs daily for eight weeks during the summer. The average daily attendance is 70+ children. Breakfast and lunch is provided each day, as well as time for education, field trips, recreational and cultural activities. This camp helps to inspire the sense of community and attracts certified teachers, college age counselors and high school student assistants.
the after-school blast program is an after school program that provides a safe environment for 1st - 8th graders to go after school during the school year. They provide help with homework and study skills, recreational and club activities, field trips, special events and snacks.
other programs, include the i-lead program which provides community members the opportunity to obtain an associate degree by attending classes four nights per week in their own neighborhood; and the language institute, which provides english classes four days per week for members of the community.
