Little Flower does a tremendous job providing the best care for children in need across China. Their monthly marketing reports are incredibly clear and showcase how efficiently money is deployed for their various programs. I highly recommend donating to Little Flower to make an impact in children’s lives.
It’s difficult to find words to express how valuable & important the work that Little Flowers does to care for the most vulnerable children. Little Flowers caregivers pour every bit of their hearts, time & energy into filling up & investing into these precious souls 24/7, including two of our children…our daughter home 3 years & our son still waiting for us due to Covid travel disruptions. Little Flowers makes such a profound difference in these kids’ critical early years that affects the rest of their lives! We will forever be thankful for their early interventions & loving care of our children and their friends still waiting for a family. We continue to support them financially today because their work is an invaluable investment in the future of these vulnerable waiting children.
Our son was born in China with a rare genetic condition affecting the majority of the joints in his body. As a result, he was born with bilateral club feet. He came into orphanage care as an infant where they were unable to correct his club feet due to allergic reactions to casting materials. At one point another nonprofit had taken him in and attempted to correct his feet as well but they were unable to. At the age of three, the director of Little Flower saw him while visiting his orphanage and was determined they could find a way to help him. With loving care, they found a concoction of lotions and ointments that worked to protect his skin while serial casting his legs and feet. At the age of three and a half, our son took his first steps in Little Flowers care. For the next year, he blossomed in their care, learning to self-feed, color, read and even write in Chinese. They also did the therapeutic work necessary to prepare him for his adoption. In November of 2018, he became our son. We are forever grateful and supportive of the work that Little Flower does for orphans in China.
I volunteered with Dew Drops Little Flower at a Chinese state-run orphanage in 2019. The complex was safe with buildings and grounds protected by a fence and gate. The nannies were very attentive, responsive, and caring with the children. The rooms had lots of toys and were decorated in a cheery way. I mostly volunteered in the 1-2-year-olds room. The kids enjoyed being held and enjoyed playing with balls, toy cars, and other toys in the room. They also loved the slide in the playroom. Sometimes, the nannies played a TV with Chinese baby programs. When we went outside, there were always different planned activities, such as singing group songs (“The Wheels on the Bus” in Mandarin and “Two Tigers” to the tune of Frere Jacques, were favorites) or pulling the kids around in little wagons. There was also a school at the orphanage that the older children attended. Every day, the kids followed a healthy routine of going outside to the playset, playing inside, napping, and eating. On their birthday, the birthday-child wore a crown, was serenaded, and got a cake to share with their cohort.
The kids were so cute and appealing! There were always lots of nannies around; the children always got enough attention. The orphanage made sure that we volunteers left every few days on a short trip so that the children remained most attached to their favorite nannies, even though they also liked and remembered us.
I enjoyed spending time at the orphanage and bonding with the kids. My family and I decided to sponsor two of the children that I often played with so that we could continue to support this very worthwhile work, and so I could watch these wonderful kids grow and flourish.
We have been sponsoring two children from Dew Drops Little Flower since 2019 when our daughter volunteered there for a month. While we enjoy getting monthly pictures and progress reports on the two little ones, we are most grateful that the sponsorship money gets evenly divided with all the children to keep them healthy and happy. Necessary medical procedures are arranged as needed. We followed the early outbreak of Covid-19 in China closely and were relieved to see that many loyal nannies lived for months at the orphanage without going home so that they could more safely care for the little ones in the most dangerous months of the pandemic. We are also happy to hear about the exciting “foster family” program where the children live in a family grouping of several children with 1-2 caregivers. This seems like a wonderful opportunity for the children to form strong attachment bonds, getting the best possible start in life. We are so grateful to Little Flower and their partnership with the Chinese orphanages!
My husband and I think China Little Flower is amazing! Not only do we support a little boy there, but we have an adorable granddaughter who was cared for by them, and they are both doing great! We actually visited and played with some of the children when we were in China once and it was the highlight of our trip!
China Little Flower has started a program where the children are being raised as family units, with “parents” and “siblings”. Even in pictures you can see the difference it’s making. What a wonderful idea!
The medical needs of these children are great, and not only are they being met, but their emotional needs are being met as well. I could “sing their praises” all day! I highly recommend this nonprofit organization and can vouch for them personally. It is a fantastic organization!!
While living in Beijing for 5 years till 2019, I visited China Little Flower a couple of times. Rebekah gave me a detailed tour with such heart for the children. This organization really cares and does everything they can for the children. Trustworthy and I highly recommend Little Flower for adoptions and to donate.
My daughter worked for this organization over a year. Because of our trust in Little Flower and knowing exactly where the money goes, we decided to sponsor a child. We get regular updates on our child and we know, without doubt, that she gets the best care from Little Flower.
I have sponsored different children through Little Flower for a couple of years now. I love to see receive the monthly updates and to see the difference in some children! From malnourished and struggling to healthy and thriving! The work Little Flower does to positively impact a child's life, through health and a advocation for forever families is a truly beautiful thing.
China Little Flower is one of the best nonprofits I've supported. The staff truly care for the abandoned babies and young children in their care. The organization creates a loving and nurturing environment for children prior to adoption and provides the critical medical care for infants. They're professional in everything they do and always seek to provide the best standard of care.
As a registered nurse in the US, I had the privilege of volunteering with China Little Flower 2016-2018. Working with them in China has been one of the most life altering things I have ever experienced. They do important, life saving work every day for the children in their care and the people involved are truly invested in each and every child in their care. This organization is top notch from their day to day care of children with special needs to the incredible people that work and volunteer for them to their leadership teams both in the US and in China.
Little Flower provided my son with an amazing experience prior to his adoption. His medical needs were addressed by top experts, they helped him thrive in a loving foster home and they enrolled him in an amazing Montessori. His care was nothing short of extraordinary!
As a pediatric PT, board-certified in neonatal therapy, I was first drawn to this organization through their care of premature and medically complex infants. From kangaroo care to donor breast milk, they implement interventions that are evidenced-based and support the neurodevelopment of at-risk infants. From time spent alongside them in China, I've witnessed first-hand the dedication, teachability, and sacrificial love of their staff. Whether it's the day-to-day caregiving or working with an individual child to achieve new milestones or orchestrating complex medical interventions or advocating for a forever family... they really do provide hope and dignity for every child in their care. I've also witnessed them provide support to local families who have children with special needs-- an invaluable role in family preservation.
Little Flower is an incredible organization! The nanny’s are some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met, and the love and care that the children receive from them is inspiring. Definitely one of the best run organizations I have seen!
China Little Flower is a wonderful organization that does so much good for children and families alike. Providing life-saving care through nurturing and loving caregivers to orphans, not only saves each child's life but ensures a smooth transition when adopted. I will forever value my time working with such an amazing organization that truly values each and every child.
China Little Flower is an amazing organization! I donate through their sponsorship program and can see first hand the love and care the children receive. Receiving their monthly updates is a highlight! I have also visited their project a few times and I am so impressed with the attentive care the staff gives.
I was blessed to be able to spend two weeks observing first hand the amazing work being done by China Little Flower. The care givers show each precious child love through their words and actions. The children are placed in a difficult situation through no fault of their own, but are so full of joy. The experience has forever changed my heart.
I had the incredible privilege of spending 8 months volunteering with China Little Flower in an orphanage they serve. Being able to see the existing work while partnering in their continuing work was life changing. I loved being able to see how they strive to make each child feel loved through both the basic necessities and the specific trainings the caregivers receive to nurture the children.
