Mission: We turn consumers of science, technology and art into creators; by awakening curiosity and encouraging exploratory learning to fuel a life of critical, creative innovation. We are dedicated to providing hands-on exhibits and enriching programs that spark imagination, foster curiosity and promote self-confidence.
Programs: The children's museum of bozeman enriches our community by engaging children and adults in the magic of shared learning and discovery. Interactive exhibits on topics in science, literacy and the arts form powerful pathways for exploratory learning for visitors of all ages. The innovative steamlab program teaches creativity, teamwork and persistence while bolstering interest and expertise in 21st century skills. Workshops, day camps and summer programs provide meaningful out-of-school enrichment all year long. In 2017, cmb welcomed more than 17,000 visitors to our facility in bozeman's historic downtown.
steamlab is our museum's cutting-edge, high-tech educational space for kids ages 7 and up, offering experiential, project-based learning programs in coding, robotics, engineering, animation and design. In 2017, steamlab reached more than 1,500 children and families through 53 scheduled programs, and targeted outreach events at morningstar elementary school, tedx bozeman, msu involvement fair, and bogert farmer's market.
