Mission: Provide children's books to libraries to promote literacy
Programs: Since its founding in 1998, the children's literacy foundation has touched the lives of tens of thousands of children in almost 300 communities across new hampshire and vermont. Clif serves children in rural communities through sponsorships to rural public libraries and elementary schools. Clif also provides literacy events and new books to children served by homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, centers for at-risk youth, low-income housing developments, and bookmobiles. Clif works with children's book authors and illustrators to provide free presentations to children in rural communities. We give free three-day writing workshops to children in rural elementary schools, award rainy day sponsorships to towns experiencing unusually severe economic challenges, host a conference for rural librarians, and provide books and literacy support to children of prison inmates, migrant children, refugee children, low-income children and families with newborns.
