Children of the Valley (COV) is an after-school program for at-risk elementary children. The focus is to teach leadership skills, self-discipline, team work, homework completion and strengthening of academic skills. Children enrolled in the COV program are identified and referred by public school teachers to COV. Teachers and multi-generational volunteers facilitate all aspects of learning.
COV children also help in the loca on-sitel community garden as part of Junior Master Gardeners Program.
After several years of being located in Bethany Covenant Church, COV will soon be moving to permanent modular building facilities adjacent the church.
