Causes: Child Abuse Prevention, Crime & Law, Domestic Violence
Mission: Administers a child-centered facillity to serve child abuse victims and provides education services to the community to reduce child abuse.
Programs: During 2015, child protect conducted a record number of forensic interviews 233 with suspected child abuse victims. We coordinated 29 forensic medical exams for child sexual assault victims. 14 child protect cases resulted in criminal charges against suspected child abuse perpetrators. 18 child protect cases ended in criminal convictions or plea bargains. 48 child survivors of trauma received free counseling services at child protect as well. We provided advocacy and support services to a total of 602 child over the course of the year. Lastly, we provided child abuse prevention programming to 2,067 students in mercer county schools during the 2014-2015 school year.
