The Child Abuse Prevention Center''s mission is to prevent child abuse by improving the quality of life for all children and their families in the South Mississippi area through prevention, education, and intervention.

Programs: Parent-Aide Program The Parent Aide Program is an evidence-based model that trains volunteers to provide supportive and educational in-home services to families living in stressful situations. You do not need special skills to make a difference! If you are a good listener, flexible, and sincere then you can be a Parent Aide! The Child Abuse Prevention Center provides the training and supervision you need to become a Volunteer Parent Aide. You must have a car, license and insurance. A commitment to become a Volunteer Parent Aide is not necessary until the training is completed. A one-year commitment is needed in order to work with a family. We will work with your schedule and preferences. We also: PROVIDE SOCIAL SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO VICTIMS OF CRIMES. ALSO, ASSIST LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH CONSULTING TO CHILDREN WHO ARE AT HIGH RISK OF BEING INVOLVED IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY
