Mission: The main purpose of Chesapeake Safe Harbor is to provide a safe caring home for homeless Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in the North East as we search for a new permanent home suitable for each one. Chesapeake Safe Harbor will provide necessary vet care, ongoing socialization and training to help these special needs Chessies become more adoptable. Education of new Chesapeake Bay Retriever homes, and the public in general, will be ongoing to promote and ensure a better understanding of the breed.
