Mission: When serious illness impacts a young person's childhood and a family's wellbeing, chelsea hicks foundation's creative programs provide hope, support and opportunities to share special moments together and create memories to last a lifetime.
Programs: The chelsea hicks foundation runs the chelsea's closet program, which is a mobile dress-up cart filled with new costumes that are distributed to seriously ill children at doernbecher children's hospital and randall children's hospital in portland, oregon. At each monthly visit, children get to select and dress in a new costume (which they keep), have a parade in the hospital, and participate in a craft project while enjoying snacks provided by the foundation. Over 1,000 seriously ill children were served by the foundation in 2014.
