Mission: The mission of the pregnancy centers of central virginia (pccv) is to engage and impact the lives of those facing challenges of pregnancy by offering hope and sharing truth through free, confidential and non-judgemental options counseling,(see schedule o for continuation)(continuation) limited medical services including ultrasound, material aid, and god's word and transforming love. Further, they provide hope and healing through post-abortion ministries and sexual integrity education. The goal of the pccv is to support women and their babies during unplanned pregnancy by providing free services with excellence in the following areas: crisis pregnancy, counseling, pregnancy support services, abstinence education, and quality christian counseling.
Programs: The goal of the pccv is to support women and their babies during unplanned pregnancies in the central va piedmont by expanding our geographic coverage, reaching more clients, encouraging more changed decisions for life, reaching young people with an abstinence-only message, becoming well known in the faith community and general population for providing free services with excellence in the following areas: crisis pregnancy, counseling, pregnancy support services, abstinence education, and quality christian counseling. Our vision is life assured for every baby and hope renewed for every family. In 2016, the achievements of the four pregnancy centers located in charlottesville, albemarle, culpeper, and orange are listed on schedule o. -total visits: 2,488-total new clients: 526-total return clients: 1,462-pregnancy tests administered: 871-number of clients provided with medical services: 101-number of clients provided with ultrasound: 95-number of clients provided with counseling sessions: 1,093-number of clients receiving material items (diapers, formula, cribs, etc) : 1098other services provided to clients are:-post-abortion counseling-sexual integrity and boundaries counseling-factual information regarding abortion risks-factual information regarding sexually transmitted infections and diseases-referrals for ongoing medical and other health care needs, adoption services,legal advice, housing, and other supportive services. -support groups for sexual abuse victims-24 hour helpline-eight to twelve sessions to women in jail "re-entry to society" programthe pccv collaborates with many local organizations over a 9 county area. All funding for the pregnancy centers of central virginia was provided by donations to our organization.
