Mission: The mission of the charleston school of law foundation inc is to encourage and assist the study, teaching, promoting and research of the rule of law in charleston, south carolina and all related subject areas as determined by the board of directors.
Programs: The charleston school of law foundation inc promotes the mission of the charleston school of law. It works with the law school to support its high-quality legal training and to instill a sense of public service in students. Towards this end, the foundation has solicited and received gifts for scholarships to recruit and retain needy and/or meritorious students for the charleston school of law.
to encourage and celebrate our moot court, mock trial, and charleston law review successes, the foundation has the advocate's club supported by alumni and to expand the numbers of opportunities our students have in competitions.
the foundation recognizes its place as a leader in the charleston, south carolina and regional communities. Our mission includes participating with community programs that directly respond to our mission to support high-level legal education and increased current knowledge including supporting the charleston county bar association's project "the forum created to open dialogue after the emanuel ame shootings in 2015. The foundation collaborated with the charleston law review and the riley institute at furman to support their annual symposium, this year entitled "cybersecurity: keeping us safe or making us vulnerable? Noted panelists, including admiral mike mcconnell, former director of national intelligence, addressed an audience of over 300 attendees.
