Mission: A group of women and families working together to help others!
Programs: Held a 5-k race to raise money to grant to wishes-n-more in order to grant the wish of a child.
kid packs - donated gift cards and food for take home meals for students; prepared food packs on-site. Prepared and delivered 1,045 kid pack meals. These were delivered in the maple grove/osseo 297 school district. These packs aid grade school level kids who struggle with food insecurities. Kid pack is delivered 2 times a month during the school year.
member service events: 6 volunteers purchased food and prepared a meal and evening snack for 15 children and 8 adults at the greater minneapolis crisis nursery; 11 volunteers purchased and prepared a meal for 70 adults and 20 children at mobile hope, and they did a craft with 20 children; 7 volunteers purchased and prepared a meal for 50 adults/20 children at ronald mcdonald house in minneapolis; 6 additional volunteers also prepared desserts to be brought to ronald mcdonald house; volunteers put together 20 baskets of personal items that will be donated through bethany christian center to women who have given up children for adoption; members donated and delivered personal care items, pantry staples and gift cards to people effected by flooding in louisiana; our teen committee raised money and purchased school supplies, personal care items and pantry staples for "the closet" which is a service available to students in need at our local high school and middle school; our teen committee adopted 2 families at christmas and donated items on their wish lists.
