Causes: Food, Food Programs
Mission: Channels strives to eliminate hunger by picking up and distributing food to agencies, engages in various partnerships to advance self-sufficiency and by providing community leadership on issues related to hunger.

Geographic areas served: Perry County Dauphin County Northern York County - Dillsburg Area Cumberland County Pennsylvania
Programs: Distribution of surplus food to underprivileged citizens and children while job training at-risk persons to obtain skills for employment in the restaurant industry. Channels currently delivers over 1. 3 million lbs. Of nourishing food monthly to over 60 agencies, feeding over 130,000 persons annually. In addition, channels kitchen school supplies meals to approximately 700-800 children daily in 22 sites. In a joint effort channels plant a row program encourages farmers to plant an extra row of vegetables for the hungry; channels supplied approximately 1,000 pounds of produce to member agencies.
