Mission: To promote sustainable arts ecosystems, strong communities, vibrant arts, educational and cultural experiences, and ceremony
Programs: Cerimon House is a humanities and cultural arts organization that presents performance and visual arts and cultural and community programming. Our mission is to create sustainable arts ecosystems. Through Cerimon House, artists find bigger audiences – starting with neighbors and local communities. Audiences in Portland and beyond deepen their understanding of the world through the arts and storytelling we support. And corporations, foundations, and government support arts and cultural programming to create a better, richer world.
We’re thrilled to announce Portland’s own nationally renowned actor and storyteller Vin Shambry as Cerimon House’s new artistic director. Vin brings his love of Portland and his national and global experience in performance arts to inspire new programming for 2022 and beyond at our Alberta Arts District’s non-profit arts and community event space.
Through his storytelling, singing, acting, and more, Vin inspires audience members to connect with one another in new and exciting ways.
Cerimon House serves over 2,000 people in the Portland metro area and beyond, and provides affordable, safe and inclusive convening space for the community. We rent our space to a culturally diverse array of individuals, teachers, specialists, and performing artists while also offering discounts to 501c3 nonprofit organizations throughout the year. The revenue earned from these rentals helps underwrite our creative programming and allows discounts to other micro- and small- non-profits and arts and cultural groups seeking space for events that complement our mission.
