Programs: Through its asset building programs, the organization provides low-income families with a number of homeownership and wealth building services including financial counseling and education, foreclosure prevention and mitigation, pre-purchase consultation, and credit counseling savings programs targeting low-to moderate-income hispanic families. During 2014, through its home buying program, the organization helped over 500 families assess and understand their credit report, choose a mortgage, learn about budgeting and saving, assess a down payment, and find legal assistance programs. Approximately 35 individuals purchased a home. During 2014, through its home and community program, the organization facilitated 12 financial education workshops and foreclosure prevention events reaching over 2,500 families. During 2014, through its foreclosure prevention program, the organization served over 400 families and prevented more 379 foreclosures. During 2014, through the "nueva esperanza/new hope" bilingual elderly program, the organization helped to prevent isolation, depression and improvement of the quality of life of over 200 elders and provided 45 workshops in the city of lawrence, massachusetts. During 2014, the organization joined a number of project efforts in collaboration with jsi research & training institute, inc. , the epa, and the city of lawrence. In 2014, the organization expanded its capacitiy building program for its connectors network. This program provided five additional faith-based organizations a clear direction on how to develop a successful community initiative using simple techniques that can be easily implemented.

the goal of centro de apoyo's healthy families program is to strengthen families by providing emotional, social and educational support to improve their quality of life in the areas of financial management, healthy relationships and environmental health.
