Mission: The Central Valley Beekeepers Association is a group of beekeepers located in the Central Valley of California. The association consists of beekeepers of all ages and levels of experience who share a passion for bees and their importance in the ecosystem. Members work together to share knowledge and best practices, while promoting the sustainability of beekeeping in the region. Through meetings, workshops, and educational events, members gain valuable insights into beekeeping techniques and the challenges facing bees and their keepers in today’s world. Whether new to beekeeping or a seasoned veteran, the Central Valley Beekeepers Association offers a welcoming community and a wealth of resources to support its members.
Target demographics: We provide support for local beekeepers and education for the community about the importance of bees in our daily lives.
Geographic areas served: California's Central Valley
Programs: We teach beginning and intermediate beekeeping classes every year and present information about bees and honey to the public every year at the Fresno County Fair.
The Central Valley Beekeeper's Association offers awesome educational opportunities for the public! I love their annual Big Fresno Fair booth display and enjoyed their beekeeping classes.
The best thing about the CVBA is their willingness to include everyone from novice hobbyists to long-time industry pros at their meetings and events. Since finding the CVBA my hobbyist spouse has gained knowledge and confidence keeping a few backyard hives healthy and well-fed, and we benefit from their activity in our garden and in our neighborhood. A lot can be learned from online sources, but the opportunity to meet in person and share with others is better!
They have helped a lot of new and beginning beekeepers keep their hives, alive and healthy throughout the year. we educate the public at the Fresno fair with our booth and experience Beekeepers explaining to the public, the importance of Bees providing 1/3 of our food supply.
