Mission: The mission of Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance is to save the lives of dogs in central PA through its HOPE program, adoptions, fostering, and public outreach and education.
Results: To date, more than 350 dogs have been trained through HOPE and found their forever homes. More than 30 inmates have trained these dogs since HOPE's inception in 2005.

Geographic areas served: Cumberland, York, Perry, & Dauphin Counties
Programs: CPAA's Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE) training and rehabilitation program for rescued and shelter dogs at the state correctional institution at Camp Hill pairs rescued and shelter dogs with carefully selected inmates, who train and rehabilitate the dogs. HOPE provides rehabilitation at both ends of the leash!
