Mission: The organization's mission is to promote social and recreational bicycle riding, fellowship among bicyclists, and the general interests of bicycling, to encourage and facilitate touring and all forms of bicycling activity, to defend and protect the rights of bicyclists, to secure a better understanding and recognition by the riding public for safer riding conditions, to encourage the allocation of facilities for bicycling on public lands, to encourage cooperation with public authorities in the observance of all traffic regulations, and to advocate the recognition of the bicycle as a vehicle for advancement of public health, transportation, and pleasure.
Programs: The club sponsored over 450 bicycling rides for approximately 500 members, as well as 2 major tour events which were open to the general public in which 1,500 people participated. The club is actively engaged in promoting bicycle safety and related health benefits by participating at various exhibitions and fairs.
