Causes: Food, Food Banks & Pantries
Mission: At our beginning hungry people were in a constant search for help, men and women of all ages, many accompanied by children. They went to churches, synagogues and any place where help might be found. Some congrgegation's food storage and staff were being stretched to the limits in dealing with the needy and homeless. Diversity of need was greater than the individual congregations could meet. In 1983, CDFB was formed, sponsored by businesses, civic groups and congregations to feed those needing help.
