Mission: The archaeological excavation, research and publication of ancient sites by multiple academic disciplines. Two sites currently being researched are metaponto in southern italy and chersonesos in the ukraine.
Programs: Continue the research in the ancient city at tauric chersonesos, crimea, ukraine. Continued conservation & study of ancient monuments and discovery of artifacts, ceramics, bones etc. Preservation, scanning & digitzation of museum books & historical archives. Creation of geographic information system (gis) to map detail of ancient site. Deep water exploration off coast of crimea. Lab maintenance to extent possible
assistance with chersonesos plan for unesco world heritage status. Planing for world's first archaeological park of ancient greek countryside. Continuing research & publication on treasures found in this early hellenistic site. Study & preservation of ancient stelai (lg decorative grave markers). Training of ukrainian book, photo and artifact conservators.
continue site research & survey in metaponto and coordinate findings with professionals in italy. Produce publications on history of agriculture in the metoponto region. Ceramic analysis of ancient finds & pre publication research. Analysis of both ancient human and animal bones. Restoration of ancient coins and artifacts unearthed. Writing: farmhouses & pantanello. The survey books of the chora of metaponto were published in 2012. The greek farmhouse of fattoria fabrizio was finalized and is ready to be published. The manuscript for the chora of metaponto 7: the greek sanctuary at pantanello was completed.
