Mission: The hancock county center for safe and healthy children, along with participating agencies, will coordinate the investigation, prosecution, treatment and prevention education components of child abuse and neglect into a unified system. This system is designed to provide an effective multi-disciplinary approach to dealing with child abuse and neglect victims and their non-offending family members so that the trauma they experience is minimized. The hancock county center for safe and healthy children will also provide for coordination of health, dental, orthodontic and any other services for children who have been alleged to be neglected, abused or dependent and who may or may not be in foster care.
Programs: Child sexual abuse treatment, investigation, examination of victims, and prevention education components. The nonprofit organization provided services for numerous children and families during the tax year.
