JwJ was very effective in its efforts to diversify this year's May Day march and rally. They are truly committed to increasing solidarity between all of our local groups working for social justice, and have been at at for 20 years. They fill a deep need in the Massachusetts and prevent many missed opportunities for collaboration. Thank you for your work!!

Massachusetts Jobs with Justice is the MA chapter of a national network of community/labor coalitions. Coalition members include dozens of community organizations, faith organizations, and union locals. Our work is guided by a steering committee made up of delegates from our member organizations and unions and is carried out by our diverse and dynamic staff team and volunteers. Mass JwJ plays a unique and crucial role in the movement for workers' rights by building solidarity between groups, linking struggles across sectors, developing new leaders, and engaging and empowering workers who may not otherwise be actively involved with progressive non-profit organizations. We accomplish our objectives by directly supporting worker-led struggles, including contract campaigns, advocacy initiatives, campaigns to defend public educators, and organizing to support and defend immigrant workers and their families. I have been a volunteer with Mass JwJ for six months (January - June 2012) and and have found that this organization is everything it claims to be: visionary, productive, sustainable, committed to working under leadership that reflects its diverse constituency, and operating effectively within a vibrant network of partner organizations. I really can't speak too highly of Mass JwJ. Signed, Jillian A. Brelsford
