Mission: The nonprofit Center for High Impact Philanthropy was founded in 2006 by Wharton alumni and is housed at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2). We provide the information and decision-making tools that allow philanthropists to allocate their capital to where it can have the greatest social impact. By focusing on what is both actionable & evidence-based, we aim to define the efficient frontier of philanthropy, where nonprofit financing is not input-driven, or donor-driven, but impact-driven. We do this in 2 ways: sector-specific analyses & tools and field-building resources.
Target demographics: The Center reaches beyond Penn to engage nonprofits/NGOs, philanthropists, foundations, policy and research centers, and universities around the world working towards more effective philanthropy.
