Mission: The center provides innovative, affordable and cooperative ways to resolve differences and often enhances relationships, whether in the workplace or family.
Programs: In 2017, the center provided mediation and settlement conference services for 204 cases in our downtown facility. We held 592 small claims mediations at district court and began hosting the small claims mediation in-house. The center held 71 foreclosure mediations under the foreclosure fairness act (ffa). Mediators donated more than 3012 hours to do these mediations this year. The center conducted 3 basic mediation trainings for 58 people. We delivered 11 professional continuing educational in-services for our 176 member mediator community which continues to grow and thrive. 2017 was the third year of implementing a business plan for consulting services to increase our revenue. This year the center held 32 group facilitations that impacted 1666 distinct people in organizations and government agencies in our community. The center conducted and held an additional 27 conflict resolution trainings in our community for over 464 people. 2017 finalized the settlement agreement with previous landlord. We did not receive investment in our business plan expansion and growth. We increased our capacity yet did not realize the revenue in 2017.
