Mission: The purpose of the organization is to provide mini grants to local private and public schools to develop ideas for "coal study units" to promote pro-coal based programs and competition.
Programs: The corporation will provide mini grants to public and private schools for teachers to develop ideas for "coal study units" in the western kentucky coal field. These grants will also provide for student/school promotional materials and competition for their coal education programs within the target counties.
the organization will have a coal education coordinator who will provide a "coal education packet" to all participating teachers in the target area of hopkins, webster, muhlenberg, henderson, and christian counties.
the organization will provide for school/student promotional materials and competition for their coal education programs wtihin the target counties and will sponsor a coal fair with prizes for the students and a coal industry banquet to honor participants at the coal fair.
