Mission: TO PROMOTE APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS
Programs: Decentralization program - allocating and awarding grants to artists in the local communities. Through the new york state council on the arts, the organization provides community arts grants as well as an artist in community grant. The community arts grants are competitive arts grants that provide financial and technical assistance for community based arts and culture programs. The artist in community grant opportunity provides an award to an individual artist for the creation of new work within a community context.
cattaraugus county arts council, inc. Offers classes to regional residents, summer camps for children, arts enrichment classes for high school students, and free workshops via community libraries. In addition, ccac produces professional development opportunities and sales opportunities for regional artists. Further, ccac provides information services through a quarterly newsletter, biweekly emails and three fully developed websites.
