catholic charitites provides services for aging persons that allow them to remain independent and in their own homes through the use of in-home companion care, mentoring, respite, the adult day center, and caregiveer training. In 2014, 1,211 individuals and family members were served. Outcomes included 93% of companion care clients were able to remain in their own homes for six months or longer from the onset of services, 91% of clients in the elder mentor program reported increased well-being, 100% of clients in the respite care team program experienced less isolation, and 91% of participants of the adult day center were able to continue living at home.
catholic charities provides services for children through adoption, pregnancy counseling, post adoption resource center, group counseling, and school counseling. In 2014, 6,111 individuals and family members were served. Outcomes included 93% of elementary school age children in the face kids group counseling program learned to get along better with their classmates, 100% of the pregnancy counseling clients were able to identify available options and make a well-informed decision about their situation, and 100% of adoption clients expressed satisfaction with the services they received.
catholic charities supports individuals and families by providing individual, family, and group counseling; and parish mobile food pantries. Counseling offices are located in madison, janesville, beloit, and fort atkinson. The mobile food pantries serve sauk, jefferson, grant, lafayette, columbia, iowa, and green counties. In 2014, 15,682 individuals and family members were served. Outcomes included 96% of family counseling clients functioned better at home, work, or school as a result of counseling, 87% of family counseling clients having difficulty with marital conflict improved in this area, and 87% of family counseling clients improved their employment situation.
