Mission: CASA of the Coastal Bend., founded in 1991, is part of a National Volunteer movement that recognizes the need for community members to step forward and see to it that an abused or neglected child does not waste away in the foster care system. CASA's mission is to speak out for foster children in court. CASA volunteers represent the best interests of children in foster care by collecting information on all aspects of the children's lives and reporting these findings to the presiding judge. CASA's goal is to place these children in safe, loving and permanent homes as quickly as possible. For more information on CASA and becoming a volunteer, attend one of our upcoming Info Sessions. Call Samantha at 361-884-2272 or email Samantha@coastalbendcasa.org for a schedule of upcoming info sessions.
