Causes: Child Abuse Prevention, Children & Youth, Children & Youth Services, Civil Rights, Crime & Law, Domestic Violence, Protection Against Abuse
Mission: To promote the best interests of abused neglected children who are wards of the court using trained committed volunteers casas advocating for each childs timely return to a safe, nuturing, and permanent home.
Programs: Recruited, trained, and supported court appointed volunteer advocates who speak up for abused and neglected children so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. During the fiscal year covered by this return, casa used 246 volunteers to advocate for 786 children. 255 of those cases closed in the period, and 630 new children came into care. Casa was only able to serve 55 of the total children in care.
