Causes: Children's Rights, Children & Youth
Mission: To provide volunteers to serve as court-appointed special advocates for neglected and abused children.
Programs: Volunteers are trained to be special advocates for abused and/or neglected children. These volunteers are available to the children 24 hours per day, seven days per week, amounting to 1,200 hours spent on cases and 10,500 miles driven for cases. Since the existence of casa of effingham county, the organization has served 168 children and trained 98 citizens as volunteers. During the current year, the organization served 72 children, attended 208 court hearings, filed 73 reports, and trained 8 new volunteers.
