Mission: The mission of casa familiar allows the dignity, power, and worth within individuals and families to flourish, by enhancing the quality of life through education, advocacy, service programming, housing and community economic development.
Programs: Casa familiar is the general managing partner for approximately 1,200 affordable housing units in southern san diego. Casa familiar also continues to be an innovator and successful example in addressing design and quality of life in affordable housing projects in south san diego area.
casa familiar provides direct services to nearly 10,000 individuals on an annual basis under five major categories that include adult services, youth services, technology services, community development, and arts and culture. Casa familiar services are provided from six different facilities all located in san ysidro. Casa runs and hosts at least 50 programs/activities throughout the year and addresses community needs with a holisitc approach.
casa familiar aquired and rehabilitated three apartment buildings in national city, which are being rented to low income families at below market rent. Casa familiar is involved in other redevelopment projects in the southern san diego. Two new projects are being developed.
