Mission: Serves as a health information exchange (hie) to provide south carolina citizens with more effective and efficient delivery of emergency services through networked systems that allow viewing by physicians of patient-specific information. Hie enables elimination of unnecessary repeat testing, enhanced medical diagnosis, and improved medical outcomes. Hie also may support disaster preparedness and reunification.
Programs: Serves as a health information exchange (hie) to provide south carolina citizens with more effective and efficient delivery of emergency services through networked systems that allow viewing by physicians of patient-specific information. During 2017 the hie was overseen by the president and/or chief executive officers and emergency services physicians of participating medical centers. Moreover, during 2017 the hie was provided support and advice by health sciences health improvement, llc and the sc hospital association.
