Mission: Caring hearts ministry is an interdenominational non-profit made up of those of us who simply want to allow jesus to use them to fulfill his will through the work he has prepared.
Programs: Oasis boys home is a vocational school for boys ages 12-18. Here the children live in the home with pedro alvarado olguin and his wife fran, who help work to create a family environment for the boys. In addition to family meals, chores and school, pedro teaches them various skills in construction. They attend the local school, and a tutor comes to assist them in their studies.
outreach rehab encompasses the mission groups and two individuals that guide the groups' work. These mission trips provide volunteer groups the opportunity to rehabilitate houses and other structures in the san luis area. Two examples of project opportunites are building a home or painting a building.
the lord's kitchen provides more than 200 women and children a hot meal free of charge every saturday. For most of them it is the largest and most nutritional meal they will have all week. Volunteers have built classrooms where the children are taught the bible on a regular basis. This is the ideal location for a group to minister to those whom jesus called, "the least of these," by sharing the gospel and distributing clothing and other necessities.
