Mission: The caramanico foundation will continue the work begun by the caramanico school fund. The caramanico school is located in a destitute province of cambodia where average incomes are less than $1/day. A school built by anne and tom caramanico through individual funds was constructed in 2006 in the small village of kahun for 7th, 8, and 9 grades. Until the caramanico school was built there were no educational opportunities beyond the 6th grade. The mission of the foundation will be to continue work already started by the caramanico fund: build and maintain dormitories, secure food sources, provide scholarships; provide computers; develop an international house for visiting teachers and learners; build and maintain a preschool program; support physical needs of high school students. Tom and anne contribute enough money to the foundation to cover all of the administrative expenses so that 100% of any additional contributions from others can be directed to the mission in cambodia
Programs: The organization assists in the running of a government run school and operates certain programs in cooperation with the department of education. Tom and anne caramanico contribute enough money to the foundation to cover all of the administrative expenses so that 100% of any additional contributions from others can be directed to the mission in cambodia.
