Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: The canyon land conservation fund is dedicated to preserving the remaining wildland parcels of the santa ana mountains within the cleveland national forest boundary of orange county. The canyon land conservation fund (clcf) has recently been actively fundraising for local environmental education and rural area protection.
Programs: The canyon land conservation fund continues to protect the rural area's historic "holtz ranch" currently approved fro the development of st michael's abbey, by providing funding for water quality studies to protect endangered species of the silverado creek area. Our funding to the inter canyon league community non profit organization also works to protect the rural area's specific plan and unique way of life. Persons benefited from these efforts are approximately 1800+.
the canyon land conservation fund annually sponsors environmental education through grants to the silverado children's center nature preschool programs, curriculum, and summer camps for ages 2-12. Persons benefiting these programs are approximately 75.
