We have four loving furbabies from Candy's cats. This is a very dedicated organization. They truly care for the welfare of their animals. They have gone and continue to go above and beyond for their kitties.
Two of out fur children have been adopted through Candy's Cats Inc. and we couldn't be happier. Candy along with her wonderful volunteers, especially Tanya and Jeanne, take the time to answer all of your questions and concerns to make sure you and your new fur child are a puurrfect fit. The care/love these animals get in their foster homes while wait for their forever home is unbelievable, how they part with them is beyond me. If you are really ready for the commitment of loving and carry for a cat and make him/her part of your family Candy's Cats is the palace to start that process. :-)
Candy's Cats, Inc. is an ethical, humane, and very loving cat rescue organization. They stand behind their cats when they are adopted. Their volunteers are friendly, dependable, and caring, whose goal is to place the right cat in the right home. Candy's Cats, Inc. helps special needs and disabled animals as well. I love that the animals come first with Candy's Cats, Inc.
They helped me to trap, spay, neuter, and release the stray and feral cats in my neighborhood to protect them and its been wonderful.
I started volunteering for Candy's Cats as a foster home in 2007. This organization ensures all medical needs are taken care of. As a no kill rescue I have seen Candy's Cats provide life for cats that are blind, deaf, have a leg amputated, various surgeries needed to sustain the cats life. This is an amazing group of non paid volunteers that dedicate there time to fostering, adoption counseling, transporting and fundraising to continue to be able to help the overpopulation of cats in Orlando.
Candy’s Cat’s is overall the best rescue I have found since we relocated to Florida. I have been involved in animal rescue for over 20 years and their group of volunteers is so dedicated to feral and domesticated cat rescue I instantly knew they were a group I wanted to be a part of and support.
Candy’s Cat’s deserves every bit of recognition of funding they can be given to continue their work.
I have adopted one kitten from Candy's Cats and fostered and then adopted an older kitty. Both have become incredibly important members of our household. What amazes me about Candy's Cats is how careful and well considered their selection process is for potential adopters and how hard they try to match the adopter with the kitty who needs a permanent home. Candy stays in touch and cares so much about each and every animal in her care and her volunteers are truly amazing people! I really don't know how she is able to keep it all together, but thanks to her and her volunteers amazing efforts, many rescue animals find permanent, great homes! Candy helps others too. Anytime I am trying to help home another animal, she helps to spread the word... Candy's Cats is a wonderful non-profit full of wonderful, selfless people working to help save, rescue and home kitties in need.
Ten years ago I was dealing with the nonstop birth of kittens in my back yard by the unsocialized colony that took up residence. I began catching, socializing and spaying/neutering the kittens, then finding them homes. The adults were TNR'd (trap, neuter, returned) and lived long lives, being cared for by the neighborhood. From this humble begininng, Candy's Cats grew and 7 1/2 years later, have saved the lives of almost 4,000 cats. Candy's Cats is a group of like-minded foster volunteers who open their homes and their pocket books to save the lives of throwaway, abandoned cats and kittens. We care for their medical needs and we find homes for them. No one is killed because we run out of room. Our volunteers are amazing and our standards are high for our medical care, and I'd like to see Candy's Cats receive the recognition it deserves.
