Mission: The Candelaria American Indian Council (CAIC), a charitable and non-profit {IRS 501 (c)(3)} organization since October 1973, is headquartered in Ventura, California with satellite offices in Santa Maria and Salinas. We serve economically disadvantaged and high-risk American Indian and Native American adults, children, and families of ten (10) California counties with a variety of social welfare, culturally sensitive and health maintenance programs. The mission of our organization is to enhance, strengthen, and sustain the well being of native children and their families by the promotion, fostering, and encouragement of beneficial culturally sensitive services.
