Mission: Camp for All Kids promotes and facilitates racial diversity by sending kids from under-served communities to overnight summer camp.
Results: Since the inception of Camp for All Kids, more than 1,000 children of color have attended its partner camps. It is estimated that the extended impact of this success is nearly 300,000 people who have come to learn that we are all more alike than different.
Target demographics: Camp for All Kids partners with schools that help select kids who have already succeeded at school and will thrive at camp. Our campers currently come from elementary and middle schools in St. Louis, Chicago and Cleveland, though some have moved to other cities around the country.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Between 50 and 75 campers
Geographic areas served: Primarily Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO and Cleveland, OH, but campers live around the country
Programs: Camp for All Kids single programmatic effort is sending kids to camp every year.
