Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To provide opportunities for teen girls to prepare themselves spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and culturally, for their passage into womanhood.
Results: We spent a lot of time this seeking sponsorships to send girls in low income households to camp and fundraising for the making of our Locked In Not Locked Out (Father-Daughter Dance in Jail) film documentary.
Target demographics: Girls ages 11-17 in the Richmond, Central Virginia area
Geographic areas served: Central Virginia, In Richmond, Henrico, Hopewell, and Petersburg public schools.
Programs: Girls For A Change After School (Spring & Fall) Programs 5-week Summer Retreat (Camp)
