Mission: The mission of the california scottish rite foundation (csrf) is dedicated to support and assist the children in california to develop their full potential by providing childhood language services, scholarships and other charitable programs. Programs: The foundation operates 14 childhood language centers throughout the state of california which provided 32,176 hours of assessment and treatment during fiscal year ended june 30, 2017 to an average monthly caseload of 569 children.
the foundation awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate college students. The scholarship committee reviews applications considering the following: financial need, anticipated college expenses, academic achievement, applicant goals, involvement in extracurricular activities, work history and letters of recommendation. During fiscal year ended june 30, 2017, 150 scholarships were awarded.
the foundation's americanism program provides reading material to public schools and libraries regarding the founding principles of this country. In 2016 it expanded to include veterans' programs.
