Our core value: as an ethnically and linguistically diverse group, baci emphasizes on the inclusiveness and openness across the lines of different ethnic groups from burma in its organizational development, and providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services to its clients. Programs: We are very pleased that we have been able to achieve numerous accomplishments for our community in 2016. The information highlighted in our annual review and report indicate that the work of baci has had a direct and substantial impact on the lives of many people; particularly in central indiana. Allow us to highlight some of our important achievements below. In 2016, we assisted 1381 individuals with english language training, various immigration requirements, as well as provided support in gaining employment, scholarships, and college & university admissions. This made a total of over 4000 individuals served since 2011. We were able to ensure 100 percent enrollment in postsecondary institutions for students who completed the baci upward college program (ucp). Furthermore, over 50 percent of current college students who were previously enrolled in the ucp received scholarships. More than 15 small businesses are running, including home-based childcare that both assists the community
