Mission: Burke council on alcoholism and chemical dependency, inc. Is designed to educate the burke county community concerning the disease of alcoholism and chemical dependency, its nature and treatment;to receive funds by way of donation and contribution from various sources, and utilize the same for the said program of education, the maintenance of alcoholism and chemical dependency information center, the promotion of adequate facilities and services for the diagnosis and treatment of persons with alcoholism and chemical dependency, the enlistment of community awareness and resources in a sustained and coordinated effort to alleviate and prevent alcoholism and chemical dependency.
Programs: The organization provides counseling workshops and educational materials to clients suffering from alcohol and chemical abuse. Family support is also provided.
