Mission: Bucks county housing group (bchg) works to advance the interests of people with low-moderate income and people in crisis through the provision of affordable housing and related social services.
Programs: Transitional supportive housing services - temporarily sheltered supportive housing with full array of case management services. Bchg houses 36+ families at any given time. Services include housing, life skills (personal budgeting, parenting, job search skills, etc. ) and resource referrals, which combine to assist families in establishing permanent housing in the community and self-reliance. Bchg has adopted a "housing first" model which allows more families to be served in accordance with each family's specific needs.
affordable housing - bchg owns 79 units of affordable housing throughout the county, with a concentration in bristol and morrisville, pa. These apartments (and one townhouse) are occupied by persons qualifying financially as low/low-moderate income households.
veterans assistance - provides financial aid and assistance in accessing resources to homeless and needy veterans in bucks county. One-time grants of up to 500 are awarded based on need and availability of funds. Preference is given to acute housing needs.
home stabilization program - case management, tenant-based rental assistance and general supportive services are provided for families who are residing in the community but need assistance in remaining self- sufficient.
