Causes: Disaster Aid, Safety Education
Mission: The buckhead alliance focuses on projects and initiatives to promote and enhance economic and community development, communications and culture. It initiates discussions, takes appropriate action with issues, and provides vital information to members to ensure they know what is going on, and have a voice in the community. It also strives to build awareness, passion and desire for the area. It enhances the buckhead experience by producing quality events, marketing local businesses and promoting a calendar of activities that bring people to buckhead.
Programs: Park enhancement/renovation project - design, production, installation, maintenance and events relating to the public art statue and park.
freedom ride - a bike tour fundraising event that took place during the 10th anniversary of september 11th. The bike tour from atlanta, ga to new york city, ny was conceived in an attempt to commemorate the lives of the firefighters and first responders who died on september 11th. The donations went towards getting the riders well equipped for their journey. The profits from this bike tour went to the atlanta fire foundation and to a new york city based 9/11 fund.
