Mission: The organization's primary exempt purpose is to educate the public about the homeless and to provide referrals and/or assistance to the homeless
Programs: Community based shelter program - to house homeless families within the faith community. Often in broward county, all emergency shelter units are full and there is no place for homeless families to go. Rather than leave these families on the street the coalition works closely with the faith community to provide back-up emergency shelter. Each house of worship pledges to take one week per year to shelter homeless families. The coalition provides training, cots, linens, and transportation. The church provides a place for them to stay and three meals.

The coalition has worked cooperatively with community stakeholders to develop "the ten year plan to end homelessness" which describes the most significant actions to take to end homelessness including data systems, more prevention programs, more affordable and supportive housing, and better access to jobs paying a living wage.
